6

Is there an urgent dessert craving? You don’t have time to keep it in the oven. The answer is simple. Tulle pastry. It is as light as its name, as fast as its construction. It is a savior especially on weekday evenings or when you have to rush when guests arrive. It’s ready in minutes with just phyllo dough, milk and a few ingredients. The rest is the cooking process.

It takes exactly 10 minutes to prepare. It takes at most half an hour to cook. So you can even eat it for breakfast. Let’s proceed step by step, without complicating things.

Materials Required

First, we arrange the ingredients on the table. The list is short. That’s why you don’t even feel the need to run to the market.

  • 2 ready-made phyllo dough
  • 2.5 cups of milk
  • 5 eggs
  • 125 grams of margarine
  • 100 grams of cheddar cheese
  • A pinch of salt

The point you need to pay attention to is that the dough is ready. You will not open it yourself. Your time is already limited. You can also use butter instead of margarine, but the special consistency of margarine keeps the inside of the pastry softer. Cheddar cheese can also be replaced with cottage cheese if preferred, but the melting feature of cheddar is the secret.

How to Make Tulle Pastry? Step by Step Guide

It is simple to make, but there are small details to pay attention to. If you’re going to do it quickly, don’t rush. Adding the ingredients in the correct order determines the consistency.

First, we take milk in a pot. Grate the cheese on the side. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl. Cut the dough into “temporary” pieces. So don’t worry about spoiling every dough. It is enough to tear it off by hand and throw it away. Then melt the margarine.

Then combine all these ingredients in a large basin or large bowl. The grated cheese, scrambled eggs, phyllo pieces and a pinch of salt are added to the milk. It is important that the mixture is homogeneous. Mix gently with a spoon, not a whisk. The dough will start to absorb the milk. This is natural.

Pour this mixture into a previously oiled baking tray. Pour melted margarine on top. This step ensures that the top of the pastry is browned and the bottom is crispy.

At the last stage, place it in a preheated oven set to 180 degrees.
