Forget Riverdale. The vibe shifted.
Camila Mendes is doing something else entirely. For Masters of the Universe, she left the soda behind for heavy plates. She’s playing Teela. A warrior. To look the part she trained three hours a day. In London. Before filming even started.
It was intense.
Think 90 minutes lifting. Another 90 stunts. She shows up three months early just to sweat. And you know what she ended up loving?
Bicep curls.
“I felt like such a gym bro,” she admits. Simple weights. Simple joy. It’s not just about the muscles though. The mental game matters just as much. Or more. She meditates in her trailer before hitting set. Needs to feel centered. Grounded. Because playing someone that strong requires actual stillness inside.
Doesn’t that make sense?
She keeps this mindset off-screen too. Wellness isn’t a hack for her. It’s a way of life. But she hates extremes. Really hates them. Which is why she skips fasting. Says it feels wrong to starve the body. Especially as a woman. She wants nourishment. Not restriction.
On the flip side she’ll set a 2:30 alarm just for “last call coffee.” Priorities.
That’s how she works. No rigid rules just a rhythm.
Wellness is about having balance I don’t like getting too extreme
